What's New?
John Prestia's new CD: HARMONY PARLOR
HARMONY: A group of notes combined to create a pleasing sound; a
feeling of peace and togetherness among two or more people; a guitar that was an
affordable alternative to the more expensive ones from back in the fifties and
sixties…today a cool and vibey guitar sought after for that something just a
little bit “different” sound.
These are three elements that went into the naming of the latest
cd offering of John Prestia’s “Harmony Parlor”!
A twelve song disc that starts out with the song, “Nice
Collection”, reminding us that our stuff is just stuff compared to the important
things in life, ”enjoy them while you’re here, then learn to let them go”, and
works it’s way through to the final track, “A Great Time” thanking you all for
stopping in and having a little fun. Along the way the music and songs are
sprinkled with the flavor of blues, country and a little r&b all around a
healthy dose of good old pop rock.
The songs are a collection of recordings made over the past few
years since the “Truetone” cd. In between John’s extensive touring schedule with
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on their “Soul To Soul 1&2” journey.
With the help of musical bartering with his talented and
appreciated friends and the dedication of his friend and co-producer, Andy Peake
(once again), and the chip chip chip away at it tenacity, the project finally
came to it’s completion. So now it’s time to just present it to you, the
listener, and hope you can come away with some of the love, fun, reflection,
nuttiness, and hope we came to it with.
Come on in, sit a spell, take a load off and share a little time
in John Prestia’s “Harmony Parlor”!
